Students in DSB1 are harnessing technologies through a broad range of hands-on learning in areas such as science, math, construction, transportation, manufacturing, computer technology, communications, green industries, hairstyling and aesthetics, health care, and hospitality and tourism.
In just one example, secondary students from nine DSB1 secondary schools showcased their ingenuity in a 3D Printing Competition organized by Northern College's Applied Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation department. Students considered originality, complexity, creativity, and functionality as they designed, prototyped, and printed their projects.
